1. We cut out the middle man: your mother tongue. We prompt you to learn the rules in English:

Rules are much better understood when students learn them directly in English.

Learning rules in a mother tongue is a much outdated method. Students always struggle, as they are constantly having to translate in their heads while they speak. We incorporate a self-discovery learning method with animated examples and practice exercises into our lessons by using the 3 learning styles as follows:

2. A bit of science - visual, auditory and kinesthetic learning styles:

Using the 3 different learning styles people naturally posess - VAK: Visual, Auditory and Kinesthetic - is a fun and highly efficient way to absorb information.

Science tells us, combining the 3 learning styles accelerates understanding.

Visual learners will be able to engage with our animated videos. Students who prefer the auditory method can simply press the button and relax with the video audio. And those who are more keen on the Kinesthetic learning style, can print out our free ebook. This will allow them to interact with the course material for a hands on approach - touch/make notes/mark up important sections.

3. Clever teaching - a bit more science:

We use a technique based on what's called Serial Position Effect in Psychology. This simply means that people tend to remember the first and the last bits of information best:

Each lesson starts with an animated example presenting the rules in context within a short story or sentence. Context gives meaning to the rules, which makes it super easy to remember and apply them.

The last bit of information:

Straight to the point. Students do not get lost in details. At the end of each lesson we highlight important parts with our elephant logo.

Timelines are an excellent way to demonstrate the aspect-tense-nature of verb tenses. Timelines are designed to show:

Tense: when something happened, and

Aspect: how something happened.

Our students find that the short lessons also give them flexibility, as they can fit them in at work/school during a short break. People like to watch them many times, reinforcing their knowledge more efficiently by repetition: As we know, a great deal of learning is achieved by repetition!

All videos are made with a user-friendly vocabulary. Our focus is to teach the rules well, and we do this by using only certain sets of words that are easy to manage.

Each lesson has an English subtitle option. While we teach in English only, we do realise that students need to use a dictionary during their learning. Just pop new words into Google translate, and you are ready to move on!

This option caters for everyone! If you would like more time to process information, use our half-speed playback option. If you wish to revise quickly, or are a fast learner, use our time and a half and double time playback option.
